this bar is the biggest hole in the wall in the world…bouncers are hardasses who treat people like they are pieces of s**t while at the same time most of the workers dont have a GED…the gay black bouncer is the biggest dbag in the world…s**t place, s**t people, shitty times
Do they still sell “buckets” of beer? In the mid 80’s they put the bucket under all the taps and turned on the cheap ones to fill it up. Then you served yourself and your friends out of it. A good night was when you finished the bucket before someone vomited back into it. Did they ever wash those buckets? How was I ever that stupid?
This article is ridiculous. It shows how UD students are so sucked into Dayton they have no idea what is beyond it.
1. NOT a dance club. It’s a shitty bar with a DJ. Any major city will have a DJ at every bar.
2. People dance for 20 minutes at a time because UD students can’t do anything without a drink in thier hand.
3. Tim’s is only fun because UD doesn’t have anything but some of the shittiest bars you can find…anywhere. Imagine if there was an a Wild Bills, Tango Sed Cantina, or a Sullys?!
What’s this with “I wanna dance with somebody?” When I was there 1994-1998 it was back-to-back “Laid” by James. If they didn’t play it twice in a row, you weren’t at Tim’s!
If you haven’t broken any bones, face planted, done shots with the owner, lost your ID, debit card, shoes, or jacket, made out with a random person’s face, harrassed Tyson at the door to let you in for free after midnight, threatened the DJ if he didn’t play “I wanna dance with somebody” or “Take me home tonight”…and then got lost on your way home…or your way to open The Hills…You’ve never fully experienced Tim’s…but its impossible to avoid all of this anyway!
I graduated from UD in 1976 and Tim’s was “the” place to go on a Friday or Saturday night even back then. From the sounds of things it hasn’t changed too much. I drank more 3.2 beer there than anywhere else. The dance floor back then was small and very crowded and more than once became the spill over area when brawls broke out. In the 70’s the football players pretty much ruled Tim’s and were the cause of 99% of the fights. If you had pals on the team then you were okay, if not look out!

Carry as little as possible! A big purse and coat majorly get in the way on the crowded dance floor.
