Dayton Playhouse selects scripts for annual Futurefest

DAYTON — The Dayton Playhouse has selected the six scripts that will be produced July 25-27 during Futurefest 2008, its 18th annual new play festival.
Chosen from 291 submissions from across the United States, Nova Scotia, Brazil, France and the Ukraine, the six are: "Adam and Evey," by Delora Whitney of New York; "Coming Back to Jersey," by Carl Williams of Houston; "Heartland," by Anita Simons and Lauren Simon of La Jolla, Calif.; "Inside the Gatehouse," by Bill Hollenbach of Philadelphia; "The Mary Band Road Show," by Carole Lockwood of Sparta, N.J., and "Yellow to Lavender," by Carl Rossi of Boston.
Extras
Williams ("Cowboy Moon") and Lockwood ("The Klucking of Hens") have been finalists in previous Futurefests.
The festival of six plays in three days will return to the Playhouse, 1301 E. Siebenthaler Ave., after two summers in Sinclair Community College's larger Blair Hall Theatre.
Full weekend tickets go on sale May 20 for $85.
