Police say Marshall is the man who entered two unlocked rooms at Havighurst Hall on the morning of May 21 and assaulted a female student sleeping in one of the rooms and held a pillow over her face. He also allegedly entered the room of a male student twice. The incidents occurred at 5:45 a.m. and 6 a.m., police said.

Marshall is a junior at Miami majoring in intergrated social studies education. He as been suspended from the football team, pending further investigation, according to school officials.

Marshall, a 6-foot-7, 289-pound offensive lineman, is expected to be in the mix for a starting spot at offensive tackle this fall for the RedHawks, according to the team's spring media guide.

Marshall is a 2005 graduate of Mason High School. As a senior at Mason, he won a state wrestling title in the heavyweight class.

Marshall signed to play football at Maryland out of high school, and spent one season with the Terrapins before transferring to Miami in 2006. He sat out the 2006 season due to NCAA transfer rules, and played in a reserve role for Miami last season.

Last week, Miami police released a sketch of the suspect seeking assistance in identifying the person responsible for the incident. The suspect was described as 6'2" or taller with short dark hair and an athletic build.

Marshall was booked into the Butler County Jail where his mother posted bond of $26,000 Friday morning, May 30. He is scheduled to be arraigned 10 a.m. Thursday in Area I Court in Oxford.
