The University of Dayton men's basketball team checked in at No. 14 in this week's Associated Press poll, which was released Monday afternoon. It is UD's highest ranking since December 1967, when the Flyers were ranked No. 6 three times.

The Flyers, who host Massachusetts on Wednesday, are one of three Atlantic 10 Conference teams in the rankings. Xavier is No. 20, Rhode Island is No. 23.

North Carolina, one of three undefeated teams in the poll, is No. 1, followed by Memphis, Kansas, UCLA and Georgetown.

Pittsburgh, a team that UD beat by 25 points last month, is No. 15 — one spot behind the Flyers.

UD was ranked No. 17 last week but moved up after defeating St. Louis in overtime on Saturday night.

UD's women's team received three votes in the AP women's poll.
